Earthquake Prediction Research Center (EPRC JAPAN) integrates and analyzes observational data of public institutions (NASA・ESA・JAXA・Japan Meteorological Agency・Geographical Survey Institute・AIST・NIID ・Other).

The purpose of EPRC JAPAN is to reduce natural disaster damage by data science.

Due to global warming, “natural disasters” such as earthquakes, typhoons, floods, etc. are increasing.

During the 20 years from 1983 to 2012, there were 2.3 million deaths due to natural disasters.
Economic loss is 260 trillion yen
Half of the damage is in Asia.

To raise analysis accuracy, more data is required.

EPRC JAPAN signed joint research with the Indonesian government.
We began collaborative research with the Meteorological Climate Geophysical Agency (BMKG), National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), etc.

EPRC JAPAN is seeking to collaborate with many countries in the Asian region, as well as Indonesia, to conduct joint laboratory skills.

EPRC JAPAN wants to complete the distribution system of alert information 24 hours before the occurrence of an earthquake accompanied by a big tsunami with the researchers all over the world as a disaster prevention information platform in the Asian region.

Earthquake Prediction Analysis Report
